Ainthorpe Primary School

Ainthorpe Primary School is a happy place for children to learn and make friends.

Remote Learning EYFS

Remote learning for EYFS can be found via Tapestry. Miss Morgan and Mrs Green are splitting the time spent in the classroom as well as online with support from Miss Chapman. Online videos, tutor time lessons and assemblies are also scheduled throughout the week to help and support your child as well as celebrate their achievements.

Our teachers and teaching assistants will contact all families on a regular basis to check-in and see how everyone is as well as offering any support to assist with learning during this time. You can still get in touch with teachers between these times via Tapestry or via the Tutor Time on MS Teams. If children are self-isolating, they still need to complete work daily following the timetable of their class and return work through Tapestry, so that the teacher can give summary feedback about areas for improvement.

If the year group bubble has to close, children will move to remote learning and continue to follow the timetable.

Timetable

9:00 – Read, Write Inc.

10:00 – Talk for writing

11:00 – Maths/Fluency

12:00 – Lunch

1:00 – Foundation subjects, class story.

Further learning opportunities

As well as the learning that we provide online, there are many opportunities to further learning at home. One little extra focus each day can make a big difference. Below are some ideas;

Can they count the number of stairs in the house?
Can they set the table for meal-time? Can they even help to make a meal?
Can they tidy their toys away?
Could they help to tidy other things away in the house?
Can they draw a picture of a friend or a family member?
Can they count different items in the kitchen?

These are just a few examples but there are of course many others. Please do take a picture of any of these learning opportunities and send to us via Tapestry.
