Primary.DRET.Cloud - Student Remote Access
Following the announcement by the Prime Minister on 4th January, the staff at Ainthorpe Primary School have worked hard to continue learning remotely for all of our children across the school.
Online learning
Learning for pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 can mainly be accessed via their Google Classroom account with children in Foundation Stage accessing their learning via Tapestry. There is a variety of learning available every day via these platforms including teaching instructional videos and online activities. The videos are tailored to meet the needs of the children within each year group. Teachers also monitor the work handed in via Google Classroom and offer support and feedback throughout the school day.
Assemblies
We have weekly assemblies available with an invite sent out via My Child At School.
Every Friday afternoon we host our celebration assembly where we announce children receiving a LEARN certificate and weekly house point winners. This can be accessed via our Remote Learning Assemblies page when required.
Contacting home
As we did in the previous lockdown, our staff will regularly call all families to check how everything is going, whether any support is needed and if there is anything that we could do to help. Staff are also available via Google Classroom each day. You are also more than welcome to contact the school office as usual on (01482) 353963.
Self-isolation
We expect any children who are self-isolating to continue their learning via our remote provision, following the daily activities and timetables set out on Google Classroom. Our staff will continue to support and offer feedback during this time. This is the same situation if class bubbles have to close.
For any further queries at all, please contact the school office on (01482) 353963 or via email at admin@ainthorpeprimary.co.uk - we want to ensure that your children continue to have the best provision possible.
Accessing remote learning
How to log in.
You need to add the account first. This is usually easiest done by going into the settings and adding a new Google account (this is the child’s email address ending in @ainthorpeprimary.co.uk).
You may be asked to accept the conditions and also reset the password. Once the account is added, then install the Google Classroom from the AppStore or Play Store.
Next, go into Google Classroom and ensure you are selecting the right account. You may need to select ‘I’m a student’.
FAQs
Log in via classroom.google.com or through the Google Homepage (top-right menu).
If you are logged in but cannot see your class - check the login (via the top-right menu) and see whether it is your school account which is accessed.
If you are unaware of your child's username or password, please contact the school office or your child's teacher.
To return any work ensure that you click 'submit'. Here, our teachers can then check your work and offer any feedback.
Work can still be completed on paper with photos being taken and returned to the school.
If you need any further support, please access the parent and pupil support guides.
